Paul FraserIntegration and Architecture – where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
We treat Integration and Architecture not as an IT function that connects A to B but as an opportunity to add lasting business value through increased IT responsiveness.
At Fronde, we firmly believe that technology is a business enabler and not an IT means to an end. For that reason we brought the two disciplines of Integration and Architecture together to live and breathe our philosophy: the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
Our approach to Integration and Architecture focuses on what the business is aiming to achieve.
Once the business needs are understood, Fronde then works with the business to understand the requirements and the impact that these will have on the people (organisation and function), processes and supporting technology.
We don’t have any set agendas or vendor preferences. Rather, we will work with the technology and vendors that the business is most comfortable with.
And we don’t implement technology for technology sake. Instead our approach is based on the principle of re-use, buy, and then build.
Fronde recognises that you have invested time, money and IP into existing legacy applications and that some of this functionality can, and should, be reused. We assess existing legacy application functionality, with the view to reusing any proven functionality.
We then source commodity functionality. To our mind, it doesn’t make sense to re-invent the wheel, when you can buy the same functionality for a fraction of the price.
Where gaps remain, we will spend the effort to build. These gaps, which, by definition, must be unique to your business, are your competitive differentiation.
And then we integrate.
