Our environment
We promote a casual, friendly but still productive workplace by having offices that are light, airy and open plan. Our offices are centrally located to make them easy to access by public transport or by bike. Our Auckland office has a large deck and great view of the city. Our Wellington office is located right on the waterfront.
Training
We encourage our employees to develop their skills on the job by learning and sharing with their colleagues. To encourage and support personal development activities, all employees are allocated 10 days a year for individual and group skill development activities.
Some of the development activities that Fronde employees have access to include:
- Accredited external courses, seminars, conferences
- In-house mentoring
- Self study
- In-house skill development sessions
- Access to full vendor technical documentation and tools
Openness
On the whole, it’s far easier to communicate and to get positive results by sharing information freely and openly. This doesn’t mean being tactless, or prematurely revealing matters that must be by their nature confidential – people respect that – but otherwise, tell people what you’re planning, what you’re doing, what your concerns are, and why.
Honesty
Honesty is the completeness of truth, not just the absence of dishonesty. Always, always act ethically. No question.
Trust
Trusting other people’s integrity, trusting in their professionalism and skills, and trusting people to deliver. This naturally has an equal commitment on us to be trustworthy too. Trust doesn’t mean blind abdication – it’s earned through proven behaviour and results.
Courage
Suggesting and trying new ideas. Making constructive criticism and raising concerns; being receptive when others do so. Having the courage to disagree, explaining our reasoning, without making it a personal attack. Embracing change, persevering against the odds, accepting and working with others’ decisions. Walking away when necessary.
Passion
At Fronde, passion means belief in the goals we are shooting for, motivating ourselves and each other with our energy and attitude, persisting in the face of adversity and celebration of achievement.
Innovation
At Fronde, innovation means creative thought and action, individually and collectively, to provide leadership positions on matters critical to our clients and our business, and to provide solutions that maximize value.
Our Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process is designed to test not only general suitability for the role, but also your ‘fit’ with your potential colleagues and Fronde’s culture.
- All candidates’ CVs are screened to determine if a first interview is warranted.
- First interview – with the manager
- Technical interview – where an application for employment form will be requested.
- Peer review interview – where a group of your potential colleagues determine if you are a suitable ‘fit’ for the team.
- If the peer review team recommend a selection, reference checks will then be undertaken and the manager will make a final decision.
