Ex-Frondie Ceedee Doyle, in conjunction with the Wellington chapter of the Agile Professionals Network, will be presenting her experiences of using Agile techniques on a real-life project. Using these techniques, Ceedee and her team built a Student Management System from scratch in only 4 months for The Learning Connexion (TLC).
Ceedee is an experienced PM/BA and a keen advocate for Agile practices. Having successfully completed a fully agile project she can now confirm that it’s not just a myth and is basking in the rosy glow of a job well done.
The presentation will provide a bit of a breakdown of how the project ran and the key techniques used, particularly around beginning the project, and what was learnt for the future. The bits you’ll be interested in:
- How to do a flexible contract
- How do you get the stories?
- Story Mapping (a key technique)
- The task wall (running a cycle)
- What works? What could you use for your project?
- The bit nobody talks about…..what happens after an agile project?
